Good Luck Ms. Hofmann!

Our student teacher from first semester, Ms. Hofmann, is almost finished her internship in D.C.. She had two job interviews last week so we all decided to send her some good luck pictures!
This was our early morning crew. The blurriness of the picture seems appropriate here :)

Ben, Thomas, Eddie,  and Julia apparently whacking Alex down into the recycling bin with her math homework :)

Hmmmm...

Jayden showing Ms. Hofmann how much homework I'm giving them now that she's gone. I'm such a bad cop :) Alex is looking content in his new seat.

Good luck Ms. Hofmann!

You're going to be great!

We miss you!

Follow up: the interviews went well!

Our Trip To ECHO!

Fourth and Fifth graders took a trip to the ECHO Center in Burlington to examine Native American artifacts. We learned about how historians look at artifacts to understand elements of culture and were able to look at and touch several replicas that gave us a glimpse into Abenaki life long ago. We also had time to check out the museum! I had a small group of students that I walked around with, so there are more pictures of those students, apologies!
My little group; we're watching the coin looper! We have Jayden, Lily, Eddie, Thomas, and Nora. I spent quite a while trying to figure out who the little blonde was and finally remembered she was a younger child who joined us for a little bit!

We spent some time at the weather station...

Behind the scenes.

The "calm before the storm…"

I love this picture of all of them!

Ben, Eli, unidentified small child, Carter, and Julia at the sand box.

Eddie and Thomas looking up at the fish from the opposite side of the tank.

And here are our Weather Reports!
Weather Report 1
Weather Report 2
Weather Report 3

Again, sorry to have limited variation in students for the pictures. I was too into the artifact activity to take any pictures and then was with my little group for the rest of the trip. More good pictures of everyone to come!

Google Earth Explorer Project

Fourth and Fifth graders used Google Earth to map an explorer's journey. You will need to download Google Earth to view the presentations.

Book Report Links

Fifth graders are starting to work on their first book reports at home! We are reading self-selected books and will write a review of them for the report. The reviews will be published on this website:

Students can refer to this website for book ideas and recommendations as well as help writing their review. Be looking for our class reviews in February!
